Wiggly Energy

Hey all 🙂 I’ve had my new puppy for about two weeks and it’s going well. We love him so much and he’s such a smart boy. He does well with his routine and he’s already learned his name, sit, lay down, leave it, drop it & we’re working on “place” and “touch.”

He’s young, 15 weeks, so I don’t expect him to be a master or anything but I’m genuinely surprised how fast he picks new commands up.

I keep training sessions short because he has a really short attention span and he’s soooo wiggy/excited. I know it’s totally normal and I’m not concerned about it but I am wondering if that is something that needs to be trained ?? Like to be calm? Or if that is something that’ll lessen as he gets older

And we also reward him when we noticed he’s calm and settled. So I imagine he’ll pick it up eventually but we don’t usually associate that with a command or anything, just gets treats for being settled
