My shepherd mix is about 6yo and at her recent vet visit they told me she’s getting a lot of wear on her molars and shouldn’t be getting any sort of hard bones. She LOVES bones (my partner gets her the big ones from the butcher and I often give her bully sticks) so totally cutting them out is going to be challenging.
I’ve tried giving her Nylabones before but she isn’t very interested in them. My current plan is to just more frequently mix up pumpkin and other soft foods and freeze them inside of kongs.
Does anyone have other recommendations of alternatives that will keep her occupied but won’t further damage her teeth?
