Hi! We just got our 8 week old puppy (Australian Shepard and German wire haired pointer mix.. we think). I also have 3 kids (6,8,11). Im felling super overwhelmed and sad about how much time the puppy is taking away from me being present with my kids. The kids like the puppy but he bites so bad that they can’t really play with him.
I’m wondering if he needs to be in his crate more so that I can be more present with them while they’re here. How much crate time should he have during the day? At night he’s been in there from 8-6 (wakes us every few hours for potty). But how many hours during the day would be acceptable for him to be in there?
Other tips on balancing kids and puppy raising are appreciated!
