Hi all, me and my husband recently discovered our elder husky, Dallas, has gone deaf and while he seems okay we can tell his confusion at times. When it’s time to go outside we have to physically motion to the door and obviously he can’t hear us when we call him back inside, the schedule helps but he’s very old (15yrs) so sometimes he lazy and instead of going outside we’ve had a few accidents. His hearing was a gradual decline but when tested there was little to no reaction to sound. My question is what can I do to help him through this, thankfully he does take cue from our other two dogs sometimes but I’ve never had a dog this old before nor dealt with a deaf one so any advice would be appreciated.
