Dog lays/sleeps in a corner near my front door if I ignore him?

My puppy is a velcro dog and is in the stage of rebellious adolescence right now lol (5 months). Hes been jumping on me and humping me constantly, and also started jumping on my tables. I put him in time out for a few minutes when hes really bad and starts biting my arms, but sometimes he just keeps doing it so I start ignoring him completely. This is usually at night and hes already had exercise at the dog park 😭 he knocked my ass over today doing his zoomies

The past week or so he started going to the corner of my apartment next to my front door and laying down or taking a nap if I ignore his pestering…. I have chews and snuffle mats but sometimes he just ignores them to sit down…

I dont want him to be sad or bored, but I don't want him to expect to be played with every time I sit at my desk or get up to go to the bathroom etc. But its making me sad to see…. I wish hed just lay in his bed next to me instead if hes gonna do that. Is this concerning behavior?

He also has toys he can play with, and he has played independently before but he constantly wants me to engage with him which is behavior i don't want to encourage.

(btw I have seen stuff about head pressing and he is not doing that i am sure)
