Dog ran away yesterday and jumped through window

Dog jumped through window mosquito net yesterday when I put him in the bathroom to mop the floor in the living room and not damage his paws or him licking it , I ran outside crying and shouting out his name with his treats for 3 hours in a hoodie in a 5 degrees Celsius temperature and got told by someone he was seen about 5km away in about 20 mins of him leaving ( I think he was bullshiting me ) I found him he ended up being a couple streets away coming back , this was from 11pm to 2am , my feet are full of callsuses from running in flip flops , a truly awful night
