8.5 month old pit mix
My puppy has reached the teenage stage and I am fighting for my life out here (dramatic, I know). She doesn't seem to view me as the boss. She still puts her mouth on me and is testing the boundaries and limits. Any suggestions on how to work on pecking order? Her trainer showed me how to hold her in my lap on her back but she still tries to bite me even in that submissive position.

Why is my dog biting on my moms pants and not letting go?
My family is fostering a German Shepherd puppy, which is almost the size of a normal shepherd. Sometimes, she will bite onto my mom's pants while she's wearing them, and not let go if I tell her no or tug at her collar. And when the puppy does do that, it scares my mom because why the hell is it doing that for no reason? It sees my mom every day, so it's not like she's a stranger.

How long do you leave your dog home alone?
My little Morkie stays home from 8:30-3:30 while I am away at work. I have some family members say that’s too long for him to be alone and to get another dog for him to have a buddy, or take him to daycare.
He has food and water, toys, a pee pad for emergencies. He’s on Ativan to help calm him, I put Pokémon or some sort of kids show on the TV, he’s got a window to look out of and a big couch with blankets to lay on. He also has a cat who sits with him on the couch. He is non destructive- he’s never chewed anything, scratched, destroyed etc. Honestly, he is an angel.
He goes out in the morning and then I take him a big long walk or to the park as soon as I’m home, then he hangs out with me for the rest of the evening.
How long do you keep your dogs home by themselves and do you feel guilty about it? From my knowledge, not everyone can be home 24/7 with their animals or afford daycare. I also do not have money, ability (in my rental) nor time to get another puppy yet somehow feel bad 🙁

I need help with leave it command, any good training videos y’all can recommend
My 5 month old bernedoodle loves to eat leaves when we are out on a walk, it’s fall here in Canada. I’ve been trying to teach him leave it, but once I take him out for a walk I can’t control him, I’ve had to pull the leaves out of his mouth multiple times (thankfully he isn’t reactive so he lets me scrape it out of his tongue). Any training videos to help me get a stronger leave it. I want my puppy to sniff around so he can enjoy his walk but I get anxious about him sniffing too long and then eating a leaf.

5 month old puppy – help!
My 5 month old puppy is suddenly a different dog. She was perfectly sleeping in her crate at night all night and now when I put her in there (she’s in my room) she cries for a long time and barks even though all her needs have been met. This is new behavior, she’s not sick we saw the vet recently. She also whines a lot and demand barks…she will just stare at me and bark. I am imagining this is all because of her age and she will grow out of it so I wanted to come on here and see if anyone can reassure me this just part of puppyhood and this too shall pass! No horror stories please ☻

Beagle and AussieLab Puppies
Howdy,
I've recently adopted a 15 week old Beagle. She is currently picking up training well, but spends part of her day alone (accompanied by 2 cats, but minimal interaction) while working from Mon – Thurs. My girlfriend is heavily interested in an Australian Shepherd Labrador mix puppy, who is currently 8 weeks old, being offered to us to take (would receive in 3 weeks from now if we take). We both would love to have this second dog, and can afford the expense, and provide the training and time necessary while not working. My biggest concern is, we don't want our pets to be crated while at work (personal preference). My beagle currently sleeps on the same spot of the couch most of the day, and theres been no problems with her being out.
Does anyone have any experience raising these 2 breeds together as puppies? Would there be any temperament problems to be aware of? Or any suggestions on the topic? Thanks
