Honestly he has found a fork a few times and this last time I realized that he was like passionately tossing it around so I’m worried it may have damaged his teeth. What do you all think?

Hey fellow dog owners! I’m pretty new to having a dog, and I’ve been trying to teach him how to fetch. The only problem? He’s completely ignoring the ball and bringing me my socks instead! 😅 Is this normal behavior? Any tips for getting him back on track?

Hello! I’ve had my puppy, Blue for roughly two weeks now. He’s an 11 week old German shepherd. I was raised around dogs my entire life and have had a few shepherds, so when it came time for my partner and I to get a dog, I was dead set on a German shepherd. I felt pretty well prepared, thinking “I’ve had and trained so many dogs and German shepherds are so smart, this will be so easy!” (Dumb, stupid me lol). I failed to consider that I haven’t raised a puppy since like 2017 and I had my family to help.
I have honestly been expecting a lot out of Blue. I keep comparing him to my soul dog who I lost a couple of years ago — which is totally unfair to him. But he is driving me insane. I have been doing the enforced naps. I’ve been following a schedule. I’ve been doing all of the “right” things, and he is still a total menace! He is all go all of the time. He is always chasing our cats, digging in the trash, climbing onto our coffee table, biting, etc..
He is also making seemingly no progress with potty training. I let him out every time he leaves his crate, after eating, and after play. I try to aim for at least every 30 minutes. He knows to potty and will go whenever I bring him out, but he is peeing — no joke — every 10 minutes inside of the house. I try to catch him before he goes, but most of the time he gives zero warning. No sniffing or anything. Just stops what he’s doing and squats. Frankly it’s exhausting cleaning up pee so often. I understand that it’s still early, but I hear so often how people has their puppies potty trained in a week and it makes me feel a little defeated.
I have been wanting a puppy for so long and I thought I was really prepared. I had done lots of research and watched tons of videos of all the right and wrong things to do, and it seems like none of that prepared me. Sometimes I feel so stressed that I don’t want to eat or take care of myself. I feel really awful that I get so frustrated with him. I do really love him and am excited to see him grow and learn but OMG please give me some advice on how to cope with this insane puppy.

My 10-week-old pup turns into a little tornado around 9-10pm every night. One second he’s calm, and the next he’s full-speed sprinting across the room like he’s possessed. Is this just a puppy thing? Do they grow out of it, or should I be doing something differently before bedtime?

Our husky puppy has always been rough when playing, and I try to correct it by separating him from our older dog (toy poodle 3yr) However, The older dog rolls over after they're separated, seemingly wanting to play more? Even after yiping and losing a small tuft of hair, he wants more? This then confuses the puppy, and he keeps playing rough. I guess this post is technically about both of them, and hope that's allowed since they seem to feed off of each other.

Hi there! My husband and I adopted a puppy in August. He is almost 7 months old and he still has a few accidents in the house. We have a "Days without accidents" on a whiteboard and the longest he went wad 15 days but then he slips back into having accidents. We take him out every 30mins/1 hr(at most) and he's learning to go to the door when he needs to go, but my question is, should he be potty trained by now or is he fine cuz he's still a puppy? I just don't want my training to be for nothing/not working. If I'm doing something wrong would yall mind giving tips to help me learn?

My puppy suddenly started only pooping late at night and his stool has been loose. He has been going at least twice a night. Last night he went three times between 2am and 5am and none of the stools were solid. He normally poops multiple times during the day during our walks, but lately he has not pooped even once on a walk. He is 4 months old and he is usually good about letting me know when he needs to go by whimpering. He did throw up once about three nights ago, but his energy levels seem normal and he acts completely fine throughout the day.
The only new things I recently introduced were a chicken flavored bone treat with a filling and a chicken sausage treat from Costco. I have stopped both to see if that helps and I also started him on a probiotic. If this continues tonight I am planning to take him to the vet since most offices were closed today. Another recent change is that I started fully covering his crate before bed. He does not cry or bark when it is covered.
He is still peeing normally on walks, but the nighttime pooping around 2 to 3am is completely new for him. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any tips?
