My 3 1/2 month old puppy does NOT like being in the small side yard solo. I know it’s very normal for them to be super attached at his age, but any tips on helping him get more confident playing and hanging out there solo? I’d love a few minutes in the morning to get ready without him distracting me but when I close the sliding door he occasionally has 30 seconds to a minute of forgetting about me but it’s mostly him immediately barking like crazy or if I’m lucky, just staring inside.

During the last three month i encountered about 5 situations, in which rather large dogs came running at my small dog. The little one gets frightened quite quickly, which tends to escalate the situation. Therefore I quickly yell towards the (mostly quite distant!) owner, politely but firmly asking them to recall their dogs.

Many do, but those 5 outright refused to do so. This always gets me super frustrated but I havent found a way to deal with it. Any suggestions?

I’m bringing home a 8 week old puppy this week, and with thanksgiving coming up I’m going too be bringing him with me too 2 family events. My options were leave him home alone for 7+ hours with only possibly one check in or take him with and I think it would be best to bring him with, but I wanted too know what others thought as this is my first puppy since I was a kid. He won’t be going outside in public areas and will have a separate calm quiet room I could take him during for naps and when he feels overwhelmed. At one of the events the home owner has 3 dog friendly and healthy dogs and a fully fenced yard that only her dogs go too. Is it ok for him too meet these new dogs? And is it safe for him too go in the yard? He will also have a vet appointment before the events and I’ll talk with his vet about this as well but I wanted too hear from other dog owners about if this is safe or if he would be better left alone?

I’m trying to train my puppy to tolerate booties because they salt aggressively in my area for the winter. I don’t want to buy the expensive ones that she will grown out of so I started looking for the ones that we used to train my child good dog to wear booties with. They were a red rubber baloon like material but thicker. Does anyone know the name of them?

I dont know if anyone knows of something like this but i want a puppy/training journal with a premade training list that i can follow amd check off skills
