  • Puppy has been peeing in random spots in the house now.

She was doing good on puppy pads but has gotten to a habit in pooping on my daughters room and peeing in her blankets or when the her door is closed she pees outside the door. She is only 6mths old.

  • Any separation anxiety success stories?

Our Cockapoo is 11 months old, and although we felt like we were making some good progress with separation anxiety, last night after trying to leave her at home she want ballistic almost as soon as we shut the door, and after 5ish minutes wasn't calming down. This was after a few walks that day, and a bunch of treats/ toys to keep her entertained while we were out. It felt like none of that stuff really factored in- the section we shut the stoor she ignored all of that stuff and was clearly stressed about not being with us.

We've been able to leave her alone for a few hours multiple times, but I think she's regressed in the past few months, especially now it's dark and harder to walk her in the evenings. She also went through similar regression for sleeping alone, which had us camping out in the Kitchen next to her crate for a month.

I think we just need to go back to basics but it's tough- my wife and I both work from home, and the moments where naturally we need to both be out (without the dog) are rare day to day. She's happy to relax downstairs on her own, but only when it's on her terms, it seems.

Really I'd just love to hear from anyone who's managed to overcome this sort of thing around adolescence, and how they managed to find the time. I know we can do it but could do with some tales for motivation!

  • Idk what to do with my pup

Hi everyone, like the title says I’m looking for advice. I’ll explain my situation, and yes I know there will be lots of ppl with critique. I’m 17, and I was in the hospital for a really long time abt a year ago. My parents promised me that if I made it out alive, I’d get a dog, which has been my childhood dream.

Anyways fast forward, we got the puppy, but I think my parents only agreed out of guilt. My dad has been complaining about the dog since week 1. I adore the pup, but he’s a bit mischievous?

When I’m gone for school, he destroys things and pees inside. Before school, I keep him entertained with food puzzles and stuff and take him out for a walk. After school, I walk him again, play with him, make him do food puzzles etc. Somehow when I’m home, he’s a wonderful and playful pup. He can be energetic, but listens ok-ish.

He’s 15 weeks now, and he started destroying things the last two weeks. Our couch, our carpets, shoes, wires,…

Everyday I get home, my dad is mad at me about the dog and my mom is complaining about my dad being mad. If anyone knows what to do, please share your advice, even if you think it’s rude. We’re already going to puppy school too, btw. Will this get better? Do I need to do something?

  • Ruff Rover scammed me – alt product recommendations please!

Anyone have good recommendations for a backseat hammock/harness? Car is Toyota 4-runner and dog is 60lb mutt with too much energy!

I ordered a product from Ruff Rover that I thought would be perfect. They however have not provided a shipping number, won’t respond to the multiple emails I’ve sent to follow up, and their phone number just says “we are busy, leave a message”. Impossible to get ahold of and the window they promised for delivery when ordering is already passed by multiple days. I ordered this well in advance for our road trip, but now am in a bind due to Ruff Rover being completely unreliable and unresponsive. I haven’t been this disappointed in a company in a long time.

  • Microchip Balcony Dog Door

I am looking for a dog door that can be installed in the open gap of a balcony/patio door that also has a microchip activated locking mechanism. The dogs are 8lbs. Anyone know of a door that locks and is for a sliding glass door?

  • Puppy has turned into a biter!

I have a 16 week old Boston Terrier. Recently she has started biting.

She will be sitting with us, laying in bed, etc., and out of nowhere she will jump up and try to bite your face. We try to redirect her with toys and chewies, and give her a firm NO! when she does this, but I am unsure of how to break her of this habit.
