How to start Aussie training.
How do I teach my dog to pee or poop outside, or if indoors, in a specific area? How do I teach him to socialize? It's my first dog. Any advice? The puppy will arrive in a month or so at the most.

My dog bites and eats his pad
My 11-week-old puppy already knows how to go to the pad, but every time I put him on the floor, he bites him in the middle and eats it almost instantly. I have tried to redirect it to toys and change the pad, but nothing works. 😓
Has anyone else been through this? How did they make him stop eating it and only use him to pee/poop?

Does my dog understand when I tuck her in?
Sorry I'm a little loopy right now, but I was wondering if my dog is able to understand that me tucking her in is trying to make her comfortable. Or does she think that I'm burying her in blanket randomly?
Much love to yall 🙂

The Effect Koolie kennel
Hey everyone! 🐾 I’m hoping to get some real opinions about the Effect Koolie kennel and their Australian Koolie puppies.
Two years ago I lost my sweet girl Lili, and life just hasn’t felt the same without a dog. ❤️ I’ve been looking around for a new puppy for a while now, and I’ve totally fallen in love with the Australian Koolie breed.
I know Effect Koolie has a new litter right now and honestly — everything looks great. The breeder seems really solid and the puppies are ridiculously cute. 😅 I don’t know the kennel personally, but their Instagram is dangerous for the heart… I watch their reels every single day and love seeing how the little ones grow.
But before I make any decisions, I wanted to ask here: Does anyone have experience with Effect Koolie? Know the breeder? Seen their dogs in person? Anything I should know before I take the plunge?
Any info would mean a lot. ❤️🐶
P.S. I’m adding some photos the breeder sent me!

Puppy peeing and licking it
I have a 13 week old border collie that I've had for a month. He is making really good progress in potty training, we are crate training. Yesterday he started peeing a few drops in the house and then licking them up. This is after going outside only 10 minutes earlier. This has happened 3 times now. He is not showing any signs of distress like a UTI or anything. Any advice on how to deal with this?

Feandrea dog crate – do the 48” and 54” come with partitioners?
As the title says. I’m looking into crates and im gonna need a big one, but it needs to have a partitioner for when he’s a puppy. I can’t find any info on Amazon and that’s the only page I can find (their website takes me straight to Amazon)
It’s the only brand where I can find a 54” crate.
If not, what can be used as a partitioner?

Rescue was great with crate and dog beds, now won’t lie in them.
We recently (1.5 months ago) rescued a lab mix (4 y.o.). She voluntarily would go into her (soft) crate during the day to nap and at night to sleep. She also napped on the two dog beds we have. We have never used the crate as punishment, but did occasionally put her in with good treats if we were going out for a few hours.
Starting about 5 days ago, she avoids going in her crate (she will go in to eat if I put something in there) and won’t lie on her beds. She’s been lying on the floor in the corners of rooms.
We can’t figure out what her deal is – is it something to do with settling in to the family? Is it the change in seasons (we now have the heat on)? We’d like her to be in the crate so she doesn’t raid any garbage cans for snot rags, etc, or sleep on the couch.
(She’s also gotten bolder and table surfed some of my son’s unfinished food!)

Rottweiler pup
Does anyone know of a good Rottweiler breeder in NJ/NY? Looking for a female pup to join my family. I’ve looked through a bunch of other Reddit posts and they say it’s best to try locally before going on website like GoodDog.
