  • Is this okay?

Hi!! my family has been getting really frustrated with my 2 year old dog, he hasn't been peeing nor pooping on his pads, and even sometimes pees on the side of the bed/ throws up, it takes a minute to find it since it flows under the bed, he also does resource guarding and he has hurt me multiple times, i need help, it seems literally nothing works, even giving him a little pow on his butt, he doesn't seem to learn. I tried hard to train him but it also doesn't seem to work, my family has been thinking of surrendering him and i'm really upset about it, i want to get to the bottom of this to make him be a better boy

  • Puppy is sleeping pretty great but our senior dog…

Not sure if anyone has any advice. Puppy is 9 weeks old. We're lucky that she falls asleep pretty well and only needs to potty around 3-4 and then falls back asleep. Senior dog (13) usually sleeps until 8 but since we got the puppy, he now wants to get up to potty at 7, even if she's OK to still be sleeping. He's deaf so it's not that he's waking up from her moving around or anything but it's frustrating when you're already dealing with loss of sleep from middle of the night runs to then getting up an hour early unnecessarily.

    Any advice?

  • How does buying a puppy work and is there a right way to go about it?

I’m going to get a puppy in the upcoming year. I’ll be a first-time dog owner. Never even had a dog as a kid. I don’t know how buying a puppy works and I know I might sound naive. I obviously have done some research and am between 3 breeds of dogs. I’m not sure which to choose. I know what information to gather from the breeders. However, is it wrong to visit the homes of different breeders in helping me decide what puppy or what breed to choose? Like if I am looking at some poodle puppies, seeing them in person, then going to the breeders house of some pom puppies. Or do some breeders demand a deposit before you visit the puppies?

  • Waterless Shampoo vs Wipes for Travel

I am going to be flying with my dog in cargo in the future (it's unavoidable, please don't tell me to just drive. If I would I could.) and I'll be packing for her in my carry on. The flight is 5 hours and I am hoping based on the timing for the flight she won't go in the crate, but I want to be prepared in case she's covered in urine/feces when I pick her up. She's fully crate trained and loves her crate, but I also know that this is going to be loud and stressful compared to car travel.

I am going to bring clean towels and bedding with me, and a garbage bag to swap out soiled bedding and liners if I have to. If she's dirty, I'm hoping to bring something along to clean her up a little until I can bathe her. I'm torn between looking into a waterless shampoo, a pet specific wipe like from Thornell, or sticking to plain baby wipes like Water Wipes.

If anybody has any suggestions on wipes vs waterless shampoo, or any other suggestions to make the trip go easier, I'd love to hear it.

  • Any idea what mix our dog is?

I've always described Rainy as a "hound mix" but I'm curious what more experienced folks might identify.

  • My dog ran away, what do i do?

HI, I am begging for help. My new dog rammer away today.

I went on a dog walk since she's a husky mix and has a lot of energy, and as im getting home and open the door, I just take off her leash, while trying to close the door. Unfortunately my door has a little lock on it, for it to be held open and she RAN out. I tried calling her, but she kept playing around, so I got her some treats, but she just refused to come up to me.

I nearly got her in our yard, but another dog came and she ran at it. While I was getting more treats she disappeared. We only just got her, im so worried and disappointed in myself. My hubby wont even look at me. What do i do?!?! Im so distraught and upset. Im scared she'll get run over.

I live in Denmark if that changes anything. Please help, I cant even sleep.
