7.5 months, I’m in office once a week. Suggestions?
My girl is 7.5 months and is generally laid back and well behaved. I was taking her to daycare but I don’t really want to anymore.. it’s getting expensive and she’s open to way more germs/sickness. A mid-day break wouldn’t be feasible, so I’m not sure what to do with her on my one office day. I’m gone from about 9-4, and her crate is oversized for her but I ideally wouldn’t want to crate her the whole time. What would you all suggest for her? Thank you!

10 week cockapoo, tips for leaving during the day
We have a 10 week cockapoo, first night in his crate he whined and cried, every night since he’s slept through without a peep. He will sometimes go inside his crate during the day to sleep and attack his teddy we leave in there. He’s fine going in when he’s tired but during the day he still sometimes whines, cries and jumps around his crate when he goes inside while we’re eating dinner or things like that, we’re leaving him alone and progressively trying to make it longer.. any tips to help this? Thanks😊

Baby land shark double fangs 🦷
My 5 month old mini schnauzer currently has double canines. It looks like her adult canines have come in before the puppy ones have fallen out. Has this happened to anyone else? Will these fall out on their own or will they have to be removed?

Puppy has three parvo shots.. I’m being told I don’t need another? Confused.
Hi! Asking another question because you guys are huge helps. We have a vet appointment just to make sure everything’s ok with him. We adopted a pup about two weeks ago. He is supposedly 17 weeks.
He has three DA2PP shots and his first one was given October 10th which is around 9 weeks of when he was born (the adoption site gave him all these shots.) his third one was 11/08/2025.
Does he need a 4th? I’m really confused because I’m also reading he only needs three!
I’m just panicking because I thought three was ok and we’ve taken him a couple places that could be a risk for Parvo.
*he has all his other vaccines already.

After a meltdown this morning about my 7mo – questioning if I could do this – I just saw a glimmer of hope for the future and im so proud.
I literally posted this morning (check out my earlier post), and tonight I couldn't be prouder.
My 7mo working cocker has been such a handful these last few months. Every evening ended in a meltdown – biting, humping, barking, chewing the bed sheets, spinning. I've constantly been rewarding and capturing calm, and every nap this week he has basically chosen to settle without being prompted. Tonight though, he actually climbed up the stairs and took himself to bed. No meltdown, no coaxing and trying to get him to regulate.. it was just so easy… I made a hot drink and folllowed him up to see him sleeping like an angel.
Tiny flicker of hope and it's enough to keep me going. 🙂

Atl GA urgent dog foster needed
Unfortunately my foster dog Reno (2 year old hound/lab)is just not very fond of cats and because of that I feel very anxious anytime he’s roaming free in my house. (my cats are separated but like to bolt out) I don’t know what im doing wrong with him. Like I said fostering is entirely free and transportation is provided for him as he is apart of a rescue. Reno must not be around cats or if you can keep them entirely separated. Reno is highly adaptable in any home he’s a huge couch potato I walk him 3 times a day for about 20 mins and he likes playing fetch a good bit and after that he’s good just chilling in the house. His crate training is also going well.. He has no resource guarding or any sort of aggression he just wants to be around his people . ‼️‼️PLEASE HELP ME FIND A NEW FOSTER FOR RENO‼️‼️ and feel free to ask any extra questions. I can provide pictures of him but it won’t let me

Looking for recommendations
Both of my dogs have horrendous gas lately. We have not changed anything food wise. What does everyone use for this?

Incessant Barking & Nipping – Resource Guarding??
We have an almost 8 month old English lab. He has done mostly well with puppy training for general commands (sit, down, etc.) but his barking is so loud and so incessant, and he still nips so badly at my husband and me, and won’t let us sit on the couch. The trainer said he just wants attention, and I get it, but that’s just not possible to give him attention all the time, and nor can we expect to stand all the time when we want to read, watch tv, etc. The trainer suggested we leash him around the house and yank on it to give “no” commands and help him understand he can be close to us but have a little freedom at times, or when he nips or to give him a toy in place of nipping.
I am concerned some of this is possible resource guarding, from what I’ve tried to research, and we’re at a loss over it.
For reference, his crate is downstairs, and he seems to love it. He will go into the crate voluntarily when we sit down to eat dinner at the table and sleep during our meals. He is crated overnight just fine and doesn’t bark when we crate him to go run errands. Otherwise, he is free to roam (within reason, we have gates Ho for little kiddos to stay contained in certain areas at times) and/or if we are cooking and need him “contained” we will tether his leash to a nearby door so he can only go so far (he’s chewed our wooden baseboards up when given too much freedom.) He has been upstairs once, and maybe he can more frequently when he’s older and not as mischievous, but it’s just not something we are comfortable with consistently for now.
Okay, the barking – which is LOUD – I mean, so so loud – it has set off my decibels notification warning on my watch countless times: he only seems to bark when my husband leaves the room and/or goes upstairs. If it’s just me at home, or even when it’s me and the kids at home and my husband goes to the store, he doesn’t bark at us. And he only seems to do this during the daytime. At night, I think he’s gotten well adjusted to our bedtime routines, so once we go upstairs for the night, he’s mostly okay with all of us being upstairs and him being downstairs in the crate, unless if the dishes aren’t done, he whines until the dishes are done/dishwasher runs.
I think what makes all this complicated is that we work from home so we are home a lot in general, but often times, my husband can’t even have him in his office, which we moved from upstairs to downstairs recently, when he’s working because he will bark at him or nip at him the whole time, and it’s become disruptive at times for work meetings. The daytime barking has also become disruptive for kid nap times.
We previously had an American lab (rest his soul), and he wasn’t like this at all. He was calm, hardly barked, and was such a chill pup. Times were different then though because we didn’t have kids until he was a little older and also we didn’t work from home. I will say, our new dog is not yet fixed – could that help some behaviors? Looking back at our previous lab, they suspected that getting him fixed too soon contributed to some physical developmental issues that contributed to his early death, so we are worried about running into that again.
I feel like a failure at times with our new dog, and it’s so tough to work through the frustrations. Any suggestions at all? I sincerely appreciate anything anyone has to share. Thanks for reading all of this, too.
