Puppies are born deaf as hearing is their last sense to fully develop. They can’t hear until they’re about 3 weeks old. Once their hearing kicks in, they hear about four times better than most people, even hearing a wider range of frequencies.

Hi all, I’m picking up my golden retriever puppy in a couple of weeks and am in need of a crate for the road trip. It’s going to be a 12 hr drive, he will be 9 weeks old.
I have a mid size SUV, Mazda CX-5 and am nervous to have his crate in the trunk, god forbid there’s an accident.
Anyone have any crates they recommend that can be bucked into the back passenger seat? I’m not looking for mesh or those open car seats that I keep seeing online. I’m looking for a hard plastic crate, but would love recs.
Thanks!

Hello! I just adopted a really sweet loving 4 year old shihpoo from the shelter. She was an owner surrender because the previous owner was too old to give her proper care. I was given the previous owner's contact info to collect some additional items (stroller, clothes, etc.) for the dog. I'm meeting her this week to pick them up and wondering if I should bring the dog? I think it would be sweet to see her dog again and see that she's doing well in her new home. But would it be stressful or confusing for the dog? She's got a very confident temperament but I just want to make sure I'm not causing problems by briefly reuniting them for one last time.

I'm shipping my pittie pup on Sunday from the Caribbean to Miami airport (it's the only hub they fly to from our country of origin) and need help finding a reputable brokerage/company that can delivery to doorstep (or the nearest airport) in the Savannah area.

Okay so I don’t really know how to describe it but what does it mean when my dog is like putting his nose close to his food bowl and pretending to like shovel food back in? Like it’s as if he’s using his nose to push his food bowl and circle around it but he doesn’t he the food. He’s eaten science diet since he was a puppy and has no health complications he’s a good weight and he eats it but sometimes he just does that and he’s done it for quite awhile. Sometimes in the scoop motion he’ll end up pushing it into another room. Please tell me what this means? He’s a corgi btw and 5 years old.

hello,
i have a toy poodle named Shoo. she is very sweet and gets along with my 3 cats however whenever i put her in the crate to sleep, she goes crazy if a cat will go near or walk past it. but as soon as i take her out of it it's like nothing happens. it's the same with her carrier bag. she settles well im the carrier or crate but if a dog or cat comes near it she starts growling, barking, and acting all tough and angry. does anyone know how to train her out of it?
thank you!

bro i love dogs so much, legit want one badly, but why do so many dog owners act like absolute animals? i was hiking today and literally stepped on a poop bag someone left hanging on a branch 'to pick up later'ed', stepped RIGHT on it, mushy splat all over my shoe. who does this?? you bring the bag but can't be bothered to actually pack it out? that's not lazy, that's just malicious at this point.
i'm all for people enjoying the outdoors with their pups, but come on, have some respect. you're not just disrespecting the trail, you're disrespecting everyone else trying to enjoy nature. am i being too harsh or is this genuinely one of the most selfish things you can do on a hike?
