Im having a hard time finding a harness for my pup that will maintain its size after adjusting. The harness we have now constantly loosens and it’s a PITA to have to adjust every time we put it on. Any Recs?

Does your dog turn his head when he hears an odd noise? Does your dog bury their food with your pants? This is the thread to ask why.
Please keep this thread to non-medical issues only.

Which pet insurance is best for you? Are there any that may cover your dog's current treatment? Did your dog get injured during the waiting period and want to know if you're covered?
Here's the place to ask.
Do know we cannot help you here with medical concerns, and lying or not disclosing things to the insurance company is illegal so we don't allow that either.

We have a few longer trips coming up, and are debating if we should board our dog or have her stay at a family member’s house. She’s stayed at the boarding facility before and according to staff, she does well and they all love her. She’s a happy go lucky dog in general, typical golden retriever.
Typically I’d say have her stay with a family member, but they work 8-9 hour days a few times a week, so our dog would be alone for 9ish hours for two or three days over the course of the week. I don’t doubt she could hold her bladder that long, but wondering if thats too hard on her?
A boarding facility would let her out more frequently, but she wouldn’t get one on one attention as frequently and would be in a (presumably) more stressful environment. Staying with a family member would keep her in an environment she knows and is comfortable with, with one on one attention, but make her hold her bladder for a few days. Which do you think is more preferable?

Hi everyone! I've got a 2-year-old Parson Russell Terrier. She's my third in the JRT/PRT variety, and she's a well-behaved, balanced girl (for a Terrier, LOL)…until someone turns on the TV.
We are not all-day TV people, but we do like to watch most evenings, and my husband watches a lot of sports. These things are non-negotiable for us. Our girl barks any time there is a cat, a dog, a horse, or a cow on the TV. She barks when we turn the TV on, or any time there are graphics on the screen as we are switching channels. And don't get me started on the Netflix "tada!"
Obviously, this behavior isn't a dealbreaker; we love her too much, and if we have to live with it, we will. But, if there is ANYTHING you all can think of that might help (besides throwing out the TV), I'd love to hear your ideas.

We have a 12-year-old Japanese Chin who began acting out when we leave the house about a year ago. It started with tearing window sheers, pacing, defecating in the house, and urinating on the couch.
We tried covering the couch with a tarp- she urinated on the tarp and defecated elsewhere in the house, stepping in it while pacing and tracking it everywhere.
We then confined her to a smaller area. She jumped repeatedly at the gate, paced/stood all day, defecated, stepped in it, and required frequent baths.
We moved to diapers. She somehow defecates out of the diaper and still tracks feces everywhere.
We tried crating, she still defecates in the crate.
We tried artificial grass, she has no interest. Still soils the area.
Recently she has begun urinating in the house even while we are home- not dribbling/incontinence, but full urination. For example, she urinated under the table while we were sitting at dinner.
What we’ve tried:
• Increased potty breaks (very frequent) • Changing feeding schedule • Hemp oil • Calming treats (~$90/month) • Prozac (fluoxetine) • Confinement to small area (we removed flooring and replaced with laminate for cleaning) • Crate (she soils it and smears feces) • Recently received Librela injection “just in case” for pain, though she shows no arthritis signs (only a few days in)
Medical workup:
• X-rays • Bloodwork (twice) • 3 urinalyses • 2 fecal exams • Multiple checkups
Everything has come back normal.
This is severely affecting our mental health. We’ve had to throw away a couch and flooring. We love her deeply but are at a breaking point.
Has anyone experienced this with a senior dog? Could this be cognitive dysfunction? Extreme separation anxiety? Something else we’re missing?
We’re open to suggestions.
