I'd keep going but it's 2:20pm.
11 week old, just adopted 1 week ago. Korean Jindo/GShep mix. Have taken care of dogs before, but first time straight-up owner.
Sweet Jesus this is a fucking exhaustive nightmare. It's just constant. It is actually just constant. There are glimmers of hope and cute where the Pup seems to suddenly become aware and -gets it-,
Then she shit on the floor and whimpers EXTREMELY loudly because I walked away 4 feet to get paper towels.
I feel like I'm a fucking slave to this dog's bowels and as much as we've bonded, she's caused me so much grief.
I just hope she gets better. I pray with every fiber of my being that she does. My conscience doesn't let me bring her back to the shelter, or transport her to another one- I've seen how life in those is.
She is, for the most part, an absolute angel of a dog. Legitimately as sweet and calm as can be.
BUT
THE
SHEER
AMOUNT
OF SHIT
FUCKING
CONSTANTLY
Is just crushing my soul. I didn't think this was even possible.
She's so sweet but she makes me suffer so fucking much and she will never, ever, know nor will I get a thank you.
It makes me so sad.

Is fur color change normal in puppies?
So my 3.5 month old Cocker spaniel puppy (working line) was light/medium golden when I brought him in winter. The weather is slowly getting warmer here and I noticed some parts of his ears are becoming way lighter and the fur in his whole body is sprinkled with light and dark golden fur. I was a bit worried if there could be any medical reasons for it? We were at the vets 3 weeks back for his vaccine. Scheduled for another visit in 2 weeks. He was normal during his checkup then and is still healthy otherwise. Just wanted to make sure if this is something that needs urgent attention instead of waiting around for 2 weeks.

How many minutes or hours per day do you give your puppy attention?
I’m talking feeding, potty breaks, play, training, etc.
I am a huge overthinker of providing stuff for my puppy to do but I know how dangerous this can get if I let her get use to activity all the time (she doesn’t I just overthink if I do too much or too little)

Puppy sleep routine help
We recently got a shih tzu puppy, he's 4-months-old and he's great, but at night I have him in a little crate next to my bed and the crate has an open top. This dog will not sleep unless my hand is near him or on him. He will scream and bark and whine until I put my hand in the crate and his favourite way to sleep is me putting my hand on his blanket and him sleeping on top of it. How do I get this dog to stop doing this? I love him and he's a sweetheart but he is interrupting my night routine.

Spending nights at two homes?
I am currently fostering a 4 month old puppy. It's so far going ok. She's settling in to my place and seems to be getting more comfortable.
My girlfriend lives about 15 minutes apart. We have different work/school schedules such that we spend the night depending on who's got the early morning or gonna have a late night or other things like that. She also has a cat at her place.
My question is does anyone have experience or advice about introducing/settling a puppy into two homes? On nights where I can sleep in the following morning (or more importantly go to class late), I would ideally like to bring the puppy over so that I'm not leaving her alone overnight and since I would have extra time to transport her back to my place.
Is it possible to introduce her to a secondary home and have her be comfortable in it? The organization I am fostering for told me to crate her so I've been thinking about wondering about a second crate at my girlfriend's place. I'm not 100% sure that there is enough space for a crate at her place (on account of the cat) so I'm thinking about if having her sleep in a crate at my place and not at my gfs would create confusion and potentially mess with the crate training.
Otherwise, I would obviously take the process slow to get her used to the second location. I'd intend to follow the same bathroom and feeding schedule in the new home. But otherwise I'm wondering if there's any major reasons this couldn't happen or anything really important we'd need to figure out before that.
