They’re wrapped in TURKEY! He loves poultry! Ok, asshole, we can do this the hard way. I tried to pry his mouth open and the turd wouldn’t open. I tried the turkey again and he gratefully ate it. I think he learned something today! 😄

My 24 wk golden retriever is doing great with loose leash walking. We are still working on places outside of our daily walks. She picks up everything from the ground and especially loves rocks. When we walk and she picks up something I tell her to drop it and when she does I mark and give her a treat.
Am I just teaching her to get something so she can drop it for a treat? What should I do differently?
In addition, I cannot get her to drop the rocks she finds in our backyard. I tempt her higher value treats like ham or cheese but she will not drop for any of it. I can literally touch her nose with the treat and she will just stand there with the rock in her mouth. She will let me take it out of her mouth without a fight and then I give her a treat at that point.
How can I get her to drop the rock or not pick up rocks at all?

I have a 9 month old Australian Shepherd and two cats. I’ve raised the dog since 8 weeks old. He has become low level aggressive when it comes to food but ONLY towards other dogs not people. It’s not terribly a big deal because he’s my only dog, but he goes to dog parks and daycare and other public places and will bare his teeth, growl, or warning air nip at other dogs if someone is trying to treat their dog around him. How do I curb this behavior before it gets worse?

I've had my dog for a little over a year now. His previous owners left him at a PetSmart for boarding for about four months and never went back to get him. So he is a little bit nervous, but he is so sweet and silly, except with my boyfriend. He'll lay down with my boyfriend, sit on his lap, and play with my boyfriend but the second my boyfriend stands up my dog goes crazy. We've tried everything to mend their relationship lol
