i have a 16 week old puppy named Wendy that I absolutely adore and love to DEATH. i wish i could include a photo here cus she is a very sweet and precious dog.
the main training issue im having with her is she bites HARD. like literally leaves red marks. the bites are always playful but they hurt so bad. i always try redirecting but she just doesnt want to bite the toys, she wants to bite me or my clothes. I took her to a private training and the trainer told me to redirect and when that doesnt work she goes in the cage with a pacifer (loaded kong or toppl) for a break. the issue is qhen i put her in the cage for a break she whines the entire time and as soon as i let her out she starts again. HOWEVER, it is important to note she does not cry in the crate when shes tired out. she actually sleeps in the crate every night and generally sleeps 6 hours or more. i take her to the dog park for an hour+ a day so i believe shes getting enough excersize.
ive also tried yelping really loud and walking away which have no affect as shel just chase after me and nip my pants or legs and literally drag on them. its like impossible to get the pants out of her mouth but if i dont wear any then shes biting my legs directly and it hurts.
has anyone else dealt with this and if so what did you do?
