This is simply an appreciation post.
I found my puppy a little bit over a year ago when he was about 6 weeks old. Currently he is little over a year. His breed is a mix ( Chinese rural dog)
I want to to tell you I didn’t have to train my pup to do anything for a long time he simply follows does things so well.
Potty training since he was 6 weeks old he we crate trained him and gave him an at home bathroom.
He got used to it immediately never had potty accidents until now.
He got crate trained so well when he wants to sleep he just goes in I don’t have to tell him even. Now he sleeps with me though because that’s what he feels more comfortable and I love it.
The food never had to train much but I give him kibble and different kinds of food ( which are dog proved) and he eats happily doesn’t like to eat the same thing. ( haha don’t we all)
No biting other things except when he was very little or a little bored he ll chew something, but I would give him different enrichment chew toys then he stopped chewing anything else.
He sleeps throughout the night doesn’t bother me until I wake up, loves to bed rot with me.
When we travel he behaves very well in transport and even in restaurants only thing is he wants to sit on a seat ( as they should) and eat his food.
Loves to try what I eat if I say not for you baby it’s for mommy he doesn’t ask again.
The trick is I never trained him I just showed him he listens.
Only thing is he does like other dogs much which doesn’t bother me because he gets along well with my foster pups who is becoming ours. He shares food with them no problem.
He loves baths after every walk he ll wash his feet, behaves well in public, I don’t have to do anything.
I work full time and go to work every day until he was six months his dad stayed at home and took care of him.
Now he is alone at home when I go to work, our dog walker will take him out two times a day when I’m at work.
Mostly walk him and take to the park and play. Even she says he is so well behaved.
I was waiting for rebellious phase but he is still an angel, only thing i do is in ther weekend I spend whole two days with him even if I have plans I will take him if I can’t take him I don’t go.
