Im not sure exactly how old my puppy is because he is my brothers dog and I have no information about it.. I assume hes an a mix of an Australian shepherd, which I have photos of on my page. I am assuming hes about maybe 2 months (?) correct me if I’m wrong, I know nothing about puppies.
We recently got him and he’s sweet but the biting is the main problem, his puppy teeth hurt real bad and we try to stop it first by a little bit of air on his face but that seems to have stopped working, in which he only holds on harder and growls.
Secondly, I tried the tougher training to see if he would break out of that stubborn little phase and instead if he bit me, I would firmly say no! but he doesn’t listen, if that doesn’t work I would instead replace my hand with a toy or anything for him to bite on. He bites it for a few seconds, i praise him and say yes! and then immediately he diverts his attention to me again and starts biting. It’s like he has no interest in the toy but only to bite me 🥲..
Then, if that focusing his attention to the toy instead DOESNT work i say no once again, if he bites i get up, say no, walk away and avoid eye contact and if he has little to no reaction i pretend to leave the room, stopping all play. He whines and cries for a few seconds and eventually I come back, sit down, and he ends up biting again. I need tips..!!! It seems he doesn’t accept defeat 🥲 thx to anyone who comments
