Puppy doesn’t want me to sleep

My puppy is a 13 weeks old black lab. Had him since 8 weeks old. For the last two weeks, it is very hard to keep patience with him at night.

Every night, he wakes up around 2 because he needs to go outside. (This didnt happened 3 weeks ago when it felt like he was going to do all his nights.) The problem is that when I try to put him back in his crate after, he will start whining and eventually barking. No matter how hard I try to calm him / stay near him, he won’t stop until I let him out. I cannot really let him do because I live in an appartment.

So what I usually do is let him go on his bed or on the couch until he falls asleep to then put him back in his crate. It worked well for the first weeks but isnt going very well right now.

I know he feels good in his crate because he always goes by himself at the beginning of his night. Right now, his crate is in our living room (opened room with our bedroom). I am thinking of maybe putting his crate closer to us?

We do various training with him every day and go for at least a walk and a play outside every day.

I am tired and lost, my patience is shrinking. Please, if you have any tips to help my dog sleep all night long or at least to keep him calm when I put him back in his crate. Thanks a lot.
