When to stop enforcing naps?

I have an 8 mo old french bulldog who we’ve had for about 6 months. We still have her on a schedule of 1-1.5 hours awake to 2 hour nap in the crate as she doesn’t really settle on her own. Should I be stopping enforced naps and just letting her do her own thing? She does get bitey and irritated when she gets overtired, so that’s normally when I’ll put her in the crate cause she needs sleep. However, I’m worried that if I keep doing the enforced naps that she won’t learn to settle on her own. I know teenage dogs still need a good amount of sleep, so that’s why I feel stuck as to what to do. Any advice appreciated!
