What was your daily timeline for crate training a new puppy?

We’ve had our lil girl for 4 days now, shes 15 weeks old and i’ve started to work on crate training

So far she will happily eat her meals in there and i don’t fasten her in but put the door down so shes used to being enclosed

Really struggling to get her to nap in there as she wants to nap on us, when she’s been falling asleep we’ve started gently putting her in and leaving door open etc and she will come out after a minute or so

I’ve locked her in a couple of times for maybe a minute and she will paw to get out but I only open up once she sits nicely

I want to prevent separation anxiety but also want to get the balance of not letting her hate the crate

What kind of schedule did you put your pup on?

Should I try putting her in at random intervals in the day and then leave the room for a minute and come back? If so should i do this multiple times a day?

Or should we wait until she starts going in for naps herself?
