Work and puppy logistics?

Hello!

Starting to plan for adding a puppy to our family sometime in the next year. Trying to get a better sense of what that would look like! We know getting an older dog will definitely be the easier route but really love the idea of raising a dog from a puppy. Our biggest hurdle is our work schedules. My spouse and I both typically work 8-12hs five days a week. No possibility of WFH in our field. Our current plan is to alternate PTO so we can have a combined 1-2 weeks off after we get the puppy to start training. Once we have to return to work we would get a sitter to come by frequently. Logistically what would that look like? Every 2-3 hours for the first few weeks and then spacing it out? About how old before we could space it out for our walker to come once a day? Has anyone had experience or tips with looking for a sitter to come by so frequently and reliably? Thanks for any input!
