Will this behavior get better with age?

We have a 5 month old labradoodle that was found as a stray so we have no background on him. Despite him only being with us 1 month he's settled very well & fully trusts us. When he interacts with us he has a loose body waggy tail soft eyes etc etc. He lays right pressed up against us with chews etc etc.

He's in the teething / biting stage. My main concern with him is that he has started growling at us then holding our arm / hand in his mouth & continues growling. I've noticed he normally does this when he appears to be bored / frustrated / wants something. When he does this, we disengage & ignore for 10 seconds.

He is currently unable to be walked but has LOADS of toys (doesn't seem overly interested, prefers our hands lol) we do food games / lick mats / chews daily. He has enforced crate time every 1-2 hours depending on how bitey he gets.

I'd like some success stories of people who experienced this behavior & their dog turned out to be a dog that isn't aggressive for reassurance.
