my puppy is 3,5 months old, she is very timid by nature (italian greyhound owners know) and what is more, i’ve only had her for 3 weeks, so she is adjusting…
crate training is going.. well, going. cannot say it is a success, since she still whines a lot at night, but she likes napping there during the day (+i feed her there and exercise, too).
what i noticed is that whenever she feels scared or pressured (by other members of the family existing, vacuum turned on or other), she strikes to her crate. i can’t be more than happy, thinking that she feels like it’s her safe space (which it is, since I don’t take her out forcefully nor do i bother her in there).
but my concern is that, could it be a problem in the future (maybe of our bond or something)? or am i just spiralling with anxiety?
would be glad to hear your thoughts!
