My fiance and I adopted a husky-retriever mix about a month ago. We got him when he was 8 weeks. He came with lotsss of parasites and worms, and we have just gotten him feeling better. Our puppy has spent every waking moment near us. We have been doing crate training, which has been going okay. He will take naps in there but ONLY if we sit nearby and wait for him to pass out. If he wakes up and were aren’t nearby he freaks and will non stop bark. We’ve been trying to practice with leaving him for very short increments (5 seconds, 30 seconds, etc) but seem to be stuck at the 1 minute mark for alone time.
He is about to be 13 weeks and I am going insane! I just want to be able to pop out to grab a coffee or go to the other room to do laundry.
Any advice appreciated!
