What do I do about the stray dogs?

I'm a college student and I walk to and from the bus stop every day to go to uni. Thing is, there's a lot of stray dogs in the street I walk through, and I don't have any other way to go to the bus stop.

Normally, I'm a little apprehensive about the stray dogs, especially if they come in a pack, but one bit me in the leg two weeks ago (I'm okay and got my shots), and since then I've been too scared to even walk by a single stray dog.

Any advice? I don't have a license or car, so the bus stop is the only way I can go to uni.
