I'll try to be concise.
We had two sausage dogs. One sadly passed away. The remaining dog has slowed down and been sad (she's 12).
Partner and I thought to bring in a companion. Scoured websites and found a 6 month old (first error)
Asked questions to seller, who assured: she's toilet broken, very calm, nonreactive, and gets on with dogs and children.
Drove 4hrs and got her.
Brought her home and its been hell on earth. She's peeing and pooing everywhere, she is attacking the other dog, hyper jealousy, extremely reactive on walks and in home (barking and growling), etc.
Our other dog, who we'd wanted to give a companion, has become reclusive and is clearly frightened.
We aren't sure what to do. Puppy Blues – Big Time.
