Hello!
I have a 2yr old German shepherd and we recentlyish moved to a property with goats/sheep/cows/bunnies and all he wants to do and chase and have tried biting these animals. He has gone through training and knows basic commands and does really well on leashes but when it comes to these animals all this training goes out the window. I’ve muzzled trained him just for training with these animals because the rule is if a dog takes down an animal the dog needs to go. I really don’t want anything to happen to him. I’ve tried taking him to a safe distance to watch and give him treats when he is watches them calmly but the second an animal starts running/moving quickly he will freak out and want to chase. Is there anything else I can do to help train this out of him?
