Tips for furnishing my first apartment as a dog owner (6-month-old Lab)

Hey everyone!
I’m about to buy my very first apartment and I want to make sure I set it up right — both for me and my 6-month-old female black Labrador. She’s super energetic and playful (aka a bit of a tornado).

She’s currently crate-trained, but my goal is to eventually have her free in the apartment once she’s past her “biting and destroying everything” phase (she’s currently into chewing fabric of all things!).

Since I still have some time before moving in, I want to plan ahead and invest wisely in furniture and home items that are both practical and stylish — I’d love to avoid wasting money on things that’ll get ruined or make cleaning harder.

So for those of you who own dogs and live in apartments —
What furniture or items were absolute game-changers for you?
Things that saved you time cleaning, reduced fur/dirt, or helped keep your home looking nice despite the chaos?

So far I’ve only noted that I should get an air purifier to help with the smell and fur, but I’m sure there’s so much I’m missing.
