Things every new puppy owner needs to know?

Me and my husband is considering getting a puppy. I’ve lived with dogs some but he’s a dog rookie. I just want to make sure I’ve done the most possible to prepare myself if we go through with it.

I know it’s like getting your first child – nothing can really prepare you for the real thing. I just need to be as prepared as can be!
