Can’t say exactly how old my puppy is since he’s a stray but the vet when I first took him guessed around 6 weeks so now he’s around 14-16 weeks. Have very very little information on him other than what we learn as he grows. No idea what breed he is, I asked the vet her best guess and she said her and all the staff were tossing out Pyrenees, Golden retriever, or Lab mix. I’ve bonded with him. I love him so so much. He quite literally gave me a reason to live after losing my soul dog back in October. Potty training has been a nightmare but we’re managing with just a few pee accidents here and there. Now the main issue is teething. He’s biting hard. I feel like I’m constantly buying him new toys to chew on but he doesn’t gnaw on them. He totes them around and likes to play fetch but doesn’t actually use them for their primary purpose. He would rather bite me. Hard. So so hard. It’s wearing on my sanity and hurts really bad. I’m all scarred up and he’s got to where he draws blood and has bitten my face a couple times. I do everything I’ve seen people recommend in this thread. I stop play altogether. I replace my flesh with toys. I separate myself from him. I’ve tried frozen carrots and unfrozen carrots. Nothing works. I can’t just sit with him and pet him without him wanting to rip into me. I’ve never had a puppy that bit this much.
