Hoping to get some ideas and opinions because I can’t seem to decide what will be best for my dog. I’ve had my dog for 3 years now and plan to go to university next year, which is around an hour and a half away so I would need to stay up there minimum 4 nights. I still live with my family on a farm and he absolutely loves it being a rabbit obsessed terrier mix. Though my family are not careful with him and I do not trust leaving him with them for more than 2 nights. He is heartbroken when I only leave for one night, as am I! If I was to rent in the city he would be bored to death even with me walking him morning and night.
I never took university into consideration as I got him as an emotional support animal and at the time I didn’t think I would ever go. While I have a year to decide what to do it is troubling me, I only want the best for him but neither seems a better choice.
