Our 11 month old golden retriever boy is getting neutered this Friday and know that a hard cone will not be a good option for him (Fearful with new foreign objects, sudden noises, etc.) So trying to decide if a soft cone or donut is better option. We are doing a surgical suit once home but want to bring a cone alternative for the vet when we drop him off. Really want to try to avoid the hard cone if possible.
Would love personal recommendations on what worked and what didn’t.
