I know this gets posted all the time but looking for some opinions on my situation!
We have a 1 year old cocker spaniel. He is great, house trained, knows basic commands, is very kind and LOVES other dogs company, like a lot.
My partner and I have always had in our mind that we will have 2 cockers since we got him. Its for us as much as it is for him.
Im just wondering about introducing a puppy to a one year old. Im worried about regressing the one year old. He uses a doggy door to let himself out to the toilet, and im worried if we have puppy pads out for the pup he will regress there.
We want the dogs to be as close to the same age as possible, as we want them to match energy.
Just looking for some input around keeping dog 1 obedient while raising another pup
