Running after people and jumping

Hi all, my standard poodle boy is now 14 months and for the most part, now fully grown at 25kg.

He is a really sweet and loving boy, however is desperate to say hello to, and play with absolutely everyone he sees. As part of this hello he is jumpy and quite vocal which is generally not recieved well by all, especially if off lead.

We have worked on most thinsg with him and his training is coming along well apart from this. The jumping and lunging has always been a problem as he goes deaf to me. We have got it mostly under control in the house by making interactions boring until he is more calm, but this is obviously impossible to do outside.

Any help on this would be appreciated
