I took my golden pup to Home Depot to pick out paint swatches (our location is very dog friendly with dog treats) and as we were walking a large man approached us and leaned down to talk to my dog, he told my dog " get close to me and I will (un alive) you!"
He proceeded to threaten to end my dog's life 3 times while we walked away. My dog just wagged his tail at him excited.
I am always respectful of peoples space and keep a 6' space using leash control. If someone wants to greet my dog I allow it since he loves to say hi to people, but I don't allow him to approach anyone.
I just left, but it was really scary to go through alone. I am 4 months pregnant so I just decided it is safest to walk away.
