My puppy is around 9 months now, when we feed her we do a bit of training before she gets to eat from her bowl and recently when my partner tries to do this the puppy just won’t listen to him, just stares blankly at him until I take over. She’s also less likely to listen to him on a day to day basis outside of training sessions but usually she’s so good motivated that training sessions weren’t an issue until recently. This only started happening around a week ago.
What can we do to stop this from happening or help their bond grow stronger? For context me and my partner have been living together the whole time since we got the puppy and he is there most of the time.
EDIT: My partner has been very involved since the start and we take training sessions/walks in turns a lot of the time. I would say I do a little more due to the fact my partner works 24/7 shifts and is gone more often
