EDIT: thanks for all the comments and advice 🙂 i think i was messing up a bit trying to teach her 3 different things at a time since training is once a week, and we learn new things each week. from now on i’ll go for even shorter training periods and focus on sit only. i appreciate it!!
this is really the only issue i have with my puppy, she has typical behavior but is easy to deal with in my opinion.
anyway, i hate comparing dogs to each other but i have seen so many puppies younger than her (she’s abt 3 months old) who understand how to sit, stay, down, etc. meanwhile she will not focus for more than 10 minutes per day, and i still have to lure her to sit, down, and stand.
we have a trainer who i am going to discuss it with, but it just feels so frustrating in the moment that i want to get it off my chest
