Just as the title says. We got our sweet boy last week (8 week old lab) and have had him sleeping at night in his crate and he's done so well. During the day is a different story. Whether he's next to me in his crate, across the room, blanket covering it, not covering it, in a different room entirely, white noise, fed, pottied, he will cry and whine for what seems like forever. If he settles, it might be 20? minutes, and then he realizes, "oh I forgot, I'm by myself" and it starts all over. Things I've read are also confusing. Some say to let them whine/cry, "don't let them get their way." Some say to get them after several minutes if they are persistent. I know he's still a puppy and is learning. Maybe need to do some crate games during the day? I know there's not one single answer, but would love to know what worked for you.
TLDR: puppy sleeps perfectly at night in crate. crate is devil and worst thing during the day. need advice
