It’s been awhile since I’ve had a puppy so please be kind.
We just got a golden retriever puppy two weeks ago, so he’s about 10 weeks old now. He’s been teething so we tried giving him a big carrot to nibble on. He came up to me with the carrot and wanted to get up on the couch. I picked him up, and he sat beside me chewing on his carrot. I started scrolling on my phone and started petting him. Suddenly, he lashed out, growled, and tried biting me. I was so taken back by this behavior, especially because he’s so young. I have no idea what to do because I don’t want this behavior to continue. He’s supposed to start training in March, but what can we do in the meantime to nip this in the bud? Has anyone else experienced this?
