We’ve had this rescue puppy for around 1.5 months and been training her to potty outside since about 3 weeks. What we do is take her put every two hours, and every hour after 8 PM. We got to the point where she doesn’t pee inside during the day, but the problem is, that after 8 PM, when he’s in his playful mood, he literally refuses to pee outside. A few times I’ve caught him as he was just about to squat on the mat and pee, and took him out immediately. And yet, he didnt pee outside. Instead he went potty a few minutes after we came back. We tried tiring him out at this time, but he still refused to pee.
Is this normal? Should we be concerned?
