Hey Everyone,
My young border collie (just shy of 8 months) has entered her heat. We’re doing everything we can to make sure she’s comfortable and cared for; however, one behavior has come up that has us confused, wondering whether it’s a regression or part of the heat.
Usually in the evenings we have a basic routine of using the potty before bed and if she needs to go out, she knows how to alert us during the night. The last two nights she as just pooped in the house. The first night she alerted us, we brought her outside twice, she walked around about 8-10 minutes each and then pulled us inside. Last night, she didn’t alert us at all.
It’s pretty unlike her but I also don’t want it to become a habit or behavior she adopts. Does anyone have any insights into this and whether it requires a focused intervention or if it’s just part of her current circumstance?
