So my boyfriend and I recently bought a 13-week-old Maltipoo puppy. She is absolutely darling and we love her to bits. We got her from a couple who lived in the city and had been able to crate train her and potty train her to a pad. Now my bf and I are working to get her potty trained outside. We picked her up this weekend and besides the first day being pretty rough, she’s gotten good at running to the door/whining when she needs to go. Today she even rung her bell a few times on her own.
Anyway, for the last 3 nights around 7 o’clock, she’s been on our laps on the couch when all of a sudden a little turd escapes her. And every time, it’s connected to one of my own hairs and it’s super uncomfortable for her. I’m not sure what to do about it. I’ve had dogs all my life but they’ve never had daily danglers. She eats 3x a day, drinks a good amount of water, and gets a lot of playtime. She doesn’t get to just chew on my hair, and I sweep my house almost daily, so I’m not sure what more I can do to prevent her from eating hair! Is it just a teacup dog thing? If anyone has any ideas or advice, we would greatly appreciate it 🙏
