I have a 15 wo heeler mix, and I've had her since she was 8 weeks.
For the most part she's wonderful. Rarely bites, walks on a leash well, picks up tricks in no time. She even loves going in her crate and sleeps through the night!
But! During the day, if I'm quietly working, she'll be quiet in her crate. But the second I get up to do anything- even go to take her out of the crate- she starts screaming.
Which is a problem because even if I was intending on taking her out, now I can't because I would be rewarding the screaming!
I'll wait until she's quiet… and then when I make a noise it all starts up again.
I've tried leaving the TV on but she can still tell the difference between that and me.
Right now I'm in my room with the door closed waited for her to settle, but I know the moment I open my door she'll cry again.
I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here.
