Puppy has Giardia & skin irritation – I’m exhausted

It’s just me and my puppy and the first few weeks of getting him were exhausting but we fell into a nice routine.

Then we went for his rabies vaccine and I also told them that he’s been an itchy pup since I’ve basically got him. They gave me an oatmeal shampoo to use and told me I need to bathe him 2x a week until the bottle is done. Already I’m annoyed because he hates baths and this is just an added thing I need to do.

Then his poop results came back and he has Giardia (he had no symptoms) and I feel like I’m going crazy between cleaning/disinfecting the house, bathing him, wiping his ass, and pouring hot water where he shits to kill the Giardia. This is just frustrating as hell.

I also go to the office twice a week and was sending him to a great home daycare (she has an adult dog). Does this mean I can’t bring him until he is clear?? Because realistically what am I supposed to do while I’m gone? My office is over an hour away, so I’m gone 10 hours.

Any words of encouragement or advice is welcome. I’m tired.
