So my pup is 7kg and 11 months old.
He has been going to this very good/structured daycare for a few weeks now twice per week (Tuesday/Friday), but on Friday the lady said he wouldn't settle/stop trying to play with the other dogs alone when it was lunchtime "rest" break, and he would whine slightly when she put him in the crate to settle down and give the others a break..
He was brought up crate trained – and he has slept with my partner and I on our bed for the past few months. The lady said this needs to stop, and he needs to sleep in his crate at night instead.
However, this is the only time they have had an issue there – every other time they said he has been "perfect" and never put a foot wrong. Do I really need to stop him sleeping with us because of one "bad" day?
The day before Friday he was with a doggy pal all day, no doubt without any proper nap as I was at work. Could he just have been overtired from the day before? I feel like I've screwed up his training somehow by this bed thing, but the lady was adamant that's what I need to do.
After one day of being unsettled though? It seems a little strange… what are your thoughts?
