puppy blues – adjusting to life with a new pup

Hi everyone, I've been lurking here for a few weeks since my husband and I adopted our pup about 6 weeks ago – so thanks to everyone posting advice & encouragement!

We have a 14 week old pitbull puppy, and she's honestly a wonderful girl. She's sweet and smart, picks up on training fast and is so eager to learn and explore. I really feel lucky with her but it's still SO hard some days. (Don't get me started on the puppy teeth!! I'm covered in cuts and bruises:')

I constantly feel so worried that I'm not engaging with her enough, giving her too little attention, too much attention, too many treats, not enough training, overstimulating her or under-stimulating her. I try not to compare myself to everyone on the internet and all the conflicting advice about schedules and diets and training routines and just focus on bonding and getting to know my pup and figuring out a routine that works best for us.

I'm not sure if any other new puppy owner feels this way? I love her so much, but she has such endless energy, and she's teething and biting, and digging up stuff in our yard – all normal puppy things, I know. I just feel overwhelmed. And tired. And afraid to mess her up or not do right by her. I know this won't be forever but she's not even 4 months yet so it's going to be for a while longer at least. Any tips or advice are welcome & also grateful to all the other posters on here who have been so informative!
