A few days ago we took our 1 year old pup out for a walk and he heard a motorcyclist blasting Music on the street next to us. He was in no way close to the motorcycle (they were traveling in the opposite direction), but for some reason since then he's been extremely scared of being outside on the sidewalk by our apartment.
When we take him out he keeps his head to the ground, furiously sniffs, his tail is down, and he moves quickly without responding to cues.
Has anyone here dealt with a similar problem? What helped? Right now the only medications he takes are half a zyrtec and apoquel (for allergy-related itching). We're hesitant to use behavioral medications, but he seems so disturbed we don't know what to do.
